Child Care Center Director

Summit Early Learning Mifflinburg is seeking a full-time Center Director. This position is perfect for a dynamic, energetic, experienced professional in the field of early childhood education (ECE). $1,500 Sign-On Bonus - $750 after successful mid-point evaluation and then another $750 after successful one year evaluation.

The Center Director is responsible for creating and managing an attractive, warm, and challenging learning environment for young children, incorporating developmentally appropriate learning activities which meet the needs of the group as well as those of individual children.

Qualifications: Minimum qualification of an associate's degree in early childhood education or related field, with a minimum of 30 credits in early childhood education (ECE); Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an early childhood setting, and at least 1 year’s management/supervisory experience in ECE programs; Prefer Bachelor’s degree in ECE; 2 years’ management/supervisory experience in early childhood programs, and PA Keystone STARS Director certificate.

Knowledge and Skills Required: Early childhood development curricula; creativity in team management and supervision; effective supervision skills; effective time management; child behavior management which supports learning in a relaxed, calm classroom environment.
