Duties

• Deliver dynamic lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating educational technology and instructional modifications to meet diverse student needs.
• Utilize evidence-based strategies such as applied behavior analysis, behavioral therapy, and speech therapy techniques to support students with developmental disabilities, autism, or sensory impairments.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management techniques tailored for students with special needs.
• Collaborate regularly with colleagues, specialists, therapists, and parents to coordinate instructional approaches and monitor student progress.
• Conduct assessments, standardized testing, and progress reports to evaluate student learning outcomes and inform instructional planning.
• Engage in ongoing professional development related to early childhood education, literacy education, math instruction, visual impairment education, and other specialized areas to enhance teaching effectiveness.

• Strong knowledge of special education principles, including IEP development, instructional modifications, and legal compliance.
• Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or sensory impairments such as visual or hearing impairments.
• Proficiency in learning technology tools, educational software, and instructional design strategies to enhance student engagement.
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication, team collaboration, and student interaction.
• Classroom management expertise combined with behavior management techniques for students with behavioral health needs.
• Familiarity with speech therapy practices, behavioral therapy methods like applied behavior analysis (ABA), and music or recreational therapy when applicable.
• Ability to adapt lessons for early childhood education settings including preschool or toddler care environments.
• Knowledge of special education law and educational compliance standards to ensure ethical teaching practices.
