Responsibilities

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum tailored specifically for 2-year-olds, incorporating literacy education, early intervention strategies, and foundational math concepts.
• Foster a nurturing classroom environment that encourages social-emotional development, positive behavior management, and active learning.
• Plan engaging lesson plans that promote child development instruction, physical activity, and creative expression.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or behavior.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of each child's developmental progress.
• Manage classroom routines efficiently, including diapering, feeding, nap times, and transitions to support toddler care needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, classroom management techniques, and inclusive practices such as special education accommodations.

Skills

• Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings or daycare environments.
• Strong knowledge of child development principles specific to toddlers aged 2 years old.
• Expertise in classroom management techniques that foster positive behavior and a supportive learning atmosphere.
• Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math skills, physical education, and play-based learning.
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent communication and team collaboration.
• Familiarity with childhood development assessments and standardized testing methods appropriate for this age group.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or early intervention are a plus.
• Experience with classroom experience involving preschool teaching or private school environments is highly valued.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
