Job Description

First Impressions Schools is seeking a warm, professional, and dedicated VPK Teacher to join our team at our Boynton II location.

The VPK Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom where four-year-olds are prepared for a successful start to kindergarten. This position is ideal for an early childhood educator who loves working with children, values strong family communication, and takes pride in running a well-organized VPK classroom.

Responsibilities

The VPK Teacher may be responsible for:

• Planning and delivering the state-approved VPK curriculum
• Creating a safe, positive, and nurturing classroom environment
• Preparing four-year-olds for kindergarten through age-appropriate learning activities
• Completing required VPK assessments and progress monitoring
• Maintaining classroom organization, materials, and daily routines
• Communicating regularly with parents about student progress
• Following DCF licensing, health, and safety standards at all times
• Maintaining accurate attendance and student records
• Supporting positive behavior guidance and classroom management
• Working collaboratively with school leadership and fellow teachers

Qualifications

Ideal candidates should have:

• CDA Credential required
• VPK Endorsement required
• DCF 45 hours completed
• Previous VPK or preschool classroom experience preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• A warm, professional, and dependable personality
• Ability to pass required Level 2 background screening
• CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to obtain
• A genuine love for working with young children and their families

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday
• Schedule may vary based on school needs
