Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. This role requires a strong understanding of childhood development principles and the ability to implement engaging curriculum tailored to the needs of each child.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning through play and exploration.
• Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages positive interactions among children.
• Utilize effective behavior management techniques to maintain a productive classroom atmosphere.
• Assess and document children's progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
• Collaborate with parents and caregivers to support children's development and address any concerns.
• Incorporate elements of Montessori or other educational philosophies as appropriate for the curriculum.
• Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Requirements

• AA in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
• Experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting is essential.
• Knowledge of special education practices is a plus.
• Strong skills in curriculum development and lesson planning tailored to early childhood learners.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
• Understanding of childhood development theories and practices.
• Ability to create engaging learning experiences that cater to diverse learning styles.
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred but not mandatory at the time of hire.
