Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Two Year Old Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment tailored specifically for toddlers. Your enthusiasm and expertise will inspire young children to explore, learn, and grow through play-based activities and structured lessons. As a Two Year Old Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering early childhood development, building strong relationships with children and families, and supporting their social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth.

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans focused on toddler development milestones, including literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social skills.
• Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence among two-year-olds.
• Engage children in hands-on activities that promote sensory exploration, language acquisition, fine and gross motor skills, and early childhood education principles.
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques to foster cooperation and emotional regulation.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behaviors, and developmental achievements through meetings or written updates.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of children's development and attendance.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that incorporate child welfare standards, classroom management strategies, and inclusive practices for children with special needs or requiring early intervention services.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting is essential; classroom experience with toddlers is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of child development principles specific to two-year-olds, including milestones in language, motor skills, social-emotional growth, and behavior management.
• Formal training or certification in early childhood education or childhood development; coursework in special education or early intervention is a plus.
• Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development strategies for preschool-aged children.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure safety during all activities.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and the ability to implement classroom management techniques effectively.
• Experience teaching physical education or implementing standardized testing for young children is advantageous but not mandatory.

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
