Toddler Teacher

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Toddler Teacher to join our staff. Children are 18 months to 2yrs. 11 months old.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to toddler developmental stages, incorporating literacy education, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
• Provide attentive toddler care by monitoring health, safety, and hygiene needs throughout the day.
• Manage classroom behavior with positive reinforcement strategies to promote respectful interactions and self-regulation.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, daily activities, and developmental milestones through regular updates and meetings.
• Maintain a well-organized classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and independence.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies by accurately documenting incidents or concerns.
• Incorporate early intervention techniques when necessary to support children with special education needs or developmental delays.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to track each child's growth in areas such as literacy, math, and physical development.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons that integrate childhood development principles and promote holistic learning experiences.
• Stay current with best practices in preschool teaching, classroom management, and child safety protocols including first aid and CPR certification.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with young children in a preschool or childcare setting is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of child development instruction, behavior management, and early childhood education methodologies.
• Experience developing curriculum content that includes literacy education, math fundamentals, physical education, and social-emotional skills.
• Familiarity with special education strategies and early intervention programs is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and community partners about children's progress and classroom activities.
• Experience managing classroom routines efficiently while fostering a warm, inclusive environment for toddlers.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing professional development in childhood development or preschool teaching is a plus.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
