Toddler Teacher

Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating environment where young children can explore, learn, and develop essential skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans tailored to toddler developmental stages, incorporating literacy, motor skills, social-emotional learning, and early math concepts
• Provide attentive toddler care by ensuring safety, comfort, and emotional support throughout the day
• Manage classroom activities with effective behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions and cooperation
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns
• Maintain a well-organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and independence
• Follow mandated reporting laws by promptly addressing any signs of child welfare concerns in accordance with legal requirements
• Incorporate early intervention techniques and special education strategies when supporting children with diverse needs or developmental delays

Desired Requirements But Not Mandatory

• Prior experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting, specifically with toddlers or preschoolers.
• Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to implement effective behavior management techniques.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in childhood development is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and standards for childcare providers
• Ability to plan lessons.

Lead Teacher Requirement

• CDA $20 an hour

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 per week
