Toddler Teacher Assistant

BunnyBears Preschool La Mesa is looking for an assistant teacher to work in the 18month classroom. We are looking for an early childhood professional with a passion for young children. The assistant teacher must be energetic, positive, work well with others, exhibit strong communication skills and bring creative ideas for learning to the classroom.

The current hours for the position would be Monday-Friday, with the schedule ranging from 7am-6pm.

Assistant Teacher Responsibilities

• Supervised and reports to the Teacher
• Awareness of school values; conducts oneself in a way that communicates those values to children, families and other staff.
• Daily communications with families and children.
• Interacting with children and participating in their work and play activities.
• Assisting the teachers in daily activities and meeting the children’s needs.
• Must be familiar with learning projects in the classroom.
• Assist in toilet training and diapering.
• Keeping classroom clean and disinfecting furnishings and toys in the school once a week.

Minimum qualifications

- Must have at least the infant/toddler units

- Must have or be willing to obtain fingerprint clearance upon hire

- Must have current tb test and immunizations

Candidates with strong communication skills and experience with emergent curriculum, project based learning, and Reggio Emilia philosophy is preferred.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
