Toddler Preschool Teacher

Dreaming Big Learning Center is seeking a loving, dependable, and energetic Toddler Preschool Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for working with young children and creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where toddlers can learn and grow.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive and compassionate care for toddlers.
• Create and implement age-appropriate lessons and hands-on learning activities.
• Support children’s language, social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Establish consistent classroom routines for meals, diapering, toileting, rest, learning, and play.
• Maintain a clean, organized, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
• Closely supervise children and follow all health and safety procedures.
• Observe children’s development and communicate concerns to administration when appropriate.
• Maintain positive and professional communication with parents and families.
• Complete daily reports and required classroom documentation.
• Work collaboratively with other teachers and school administrators.
• Participate in staff meetings, training, school events, and professional-development activities.
• Follow all Dreaming Big Learning Center policies and Florida childcare requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Florida DCF 45-hour childcare training completed or actively in progress.
• Child Development Associate (CDA), staff credential, or related early-childhood credential preferred.
• Previous experience working with toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting preferred.
• Knowledge of toddler development and age-appropriate classroom practices.
• Ability to meet Florida background-screening requirements.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain it.
• Must be patient, dependable, attentive, and able to communicate professionally.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds and actively supervise children throughout the day.
