Job Type: Full Time (35- 40 hours per week)

Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center is a nature-inspired, educational preschool serving students ages 6 weeks - 12 years old.

Highland Forest Daycare and Early Learning Center is seeking a nurturing and attentive teacher to join our team. The teacher will be responsible for the daily care and instruction of young children ages 18 months - 2 years old. The ideal candidate should have a passion for children, ensuring their safety, engaging in developmentally appropriate activities, and maintaining a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and high-quality care to children, ensuring their safety and well-being
• Follow daily schedules and routines.
• Engage in learning activities that support children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.
• Assist with toilet training and diaper changes
• Maintain a clean and organized environment, including sanitizing toys and equipment.
• Lesson plan daily activities to meet learning objetives
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities, development, and any concerns that may arise.
• Follow all daycare policies and procedures, including health and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• MUST be at least 18 years old
• MUST have a high school diploma or GED (additional education or certifications in early childhood education or a related field is a plus.)
• MUST pass a background check
• Experience working with children in a daycare, church, after-school program, nursery, or other childcare setting is preferred but not required
• Knowledge of child development and appropriate caregiving practices.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hiring).
• Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and stoop as needed.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with parents and coworkers.
• CDA is preferred but not required
