Toddler Assistant Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Toddler Assistant Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for young children during their formative years. Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans that encourage exploration and learning among toddlers
• Supervise children closely to ensure their safety and well-being at all times during indoor and outdoor activities
• Support children with their basic needs, including diapering, feeding, and personal hygiene routines
• Engage children in age-appropriate play activities that promote development of motor skills, language, and social interaction
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to health and safety standards
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behaviors, and needs
• Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and guiding children through routines

Requirements

• Prior experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in first aid is encouraged
• Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
• Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention
• Ability to effectively supervise children while maintaining patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism
• Strong communication skills for parent engagement and team collaboration

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
