Responsibilities

• Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, physical education, and overall child development aligned with early childhood education standards.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management.
• Deliver child development instruction with a focus on individual needs, including special education and early intervention strategies when necessary.
• Engage in classroom management techniques to maintain an organized and nurturing space conducive to learning and social interaction.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any behavioral or developmental concerns.
• Conduct lesson planning sessions that incorporate age-appropriate activities fostering physical activity, cognitive skills, and emotional well-being.
• Adhere to mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure the safety and protection of all children in your care.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, progress reports, and incident documentation in compliance with childcare regulations.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with young children in a daycare or preschool setting is essential.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development tailored for toddlers and preschoolers across various domains including literacy education, math, and physical education.
• Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management strategies.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, colleagues, and children using excellent verbal and written skills.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in early childhood education or childhood development are preferred.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies ensures compliance with legal requirements for child safety.

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
