Teacher Assistant – Faith-Based Preschool

Join our vibrant, faith-based educational community at Hidden Treasures Christian Preschool! We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher Assistant who is passionate about working with young children and helping them grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to create an engaging, supportive, and inclusive learning environment. We are looking for someone who shares our Christian values, loves working with children, and is comfortable talking about Jesus and incorporating biblical teachings into the classroom. Your enthusiasm, patience, and commitment will help nurture a love for learning while supporting each child's individual development.

This is a paid position that offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners through mentorship, encouragement, and faith-based education.

Responsibilities

Assist lead teachers with daily classroom activities, lesson implementation, and classroom management.

Promote positive behavior by implementing appropriate behavior management strategies.

Supervise children during classroom activities, outdoor play, meals, and rest time to ensure their safety and engagement.

Help maintain a clean, safe, organized, and nurturing classroom environment.

Support children's social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

Incorporate Christian values into daily activities and feel comfortable teaching children about Jesus.

Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to provide quality care and education.

Follow all preschool policies, licensing requirements, and safety regulations.

Participate in required training and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Valid fingerprint clearance card required.

Current First Aid and CPR certification required.

Previous experience working with young children in an early childhood setting preferred.

Strong classroom management, child supervision, and communication skills.

A patient, loving, and nurturing attitude toward children.

Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members.

A willingness to embrace our Christian environment and openly share the love of Jesus with our students.

Commitment to completing required training and maintaining compliance with childcare licensing regulations.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
