Lead Teacher – 2 year old classroom – Potential for Permanent position

Join our early childhood education team as a Lead Teacher in a dynamic 2-3 year old classroom! This is a temporary 4 to 6 week position, with potential for full time. In this pivotal role, you will inspire young learners through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that foster curiosity, social-emotional growth, and foundational skills. Your leadership will create a warm, nurturing environment where children feel safe to explore and thrive. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the early educational experiences of young children while collaborating with dedicated staff and communicating effectively with families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or on work study program to complete BA or MA )
• 2+ years lead teaching experience
• Strong understanding of toddler development
• Required clearances and certifications

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate lesson plans that support early childhood development milestones, including literacy, math, physical activity, and social-emotional skills.
• Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
• Manage classroom behavior through positive guidance strategies and effective behavior management techniques.
• Conduct ongoing child development assessments to tailor instruction and support individual learning needs.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong home-school partnerships.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of child welfare and incident reports.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan special events, assessments, and curriculum enhancements that promote holistic child growth.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
