Child Care Teacher Position

*We offer a full-time four-day work week! The schedule will typically be 7:30-5:30 or 8:00-6:00 giving you one extra day off during the week.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Implement age-appropriate child development instruction and educational activities that promote learning and curiosity
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment aligned with health and safety standards
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
• Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly
• Provide first aid and pediatric CPR when necessary, ensuring immediate response to emergencies
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and behavior management strategies
• Support infants and toddlers with specialized care needs, including diapering, feeding, and soothing techniques
• Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum activities that support early childhood education goals
• Uphold all daycare policies related to child supervision, health protocols, and safety procedures

Experience

• Must have a HS diploma
• Prior experience of two years working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings
• Current clearances or the ability to obtain them before starting
• Positive, patient and energetic attitude with children
• Demonstrated classroom experience managing young children’s activities and behavior management strategies
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a valuable asset
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents and team members in a professional manner
• Familiarity with toddler care routines, infant care practices, and preschool curriculum implementation
• Experience working in daycare or early childhood education environments that emphasize child supervision and safety
