Duties

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons that promote child development and learning across various age groups, from infants to preschoolers.
• Create a welcoming, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and social interaction.
• Supervise children during activities, playtime, meals, naps, and transitions to ensure their safety and well-being at all times.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones through updates and meetings.
• Implement behavior management strategies to foster positive social skills and emotional growth among children.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, developmental assessments, and incident reports as needed.
• Follow all health and safety protocols including first aid procedures, pediatric CPR, mandated reporting laws, and infection control standards.

Skills

• Proven experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings; classroom management skills are essential.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Certification in first aid and CPR; pediatric first aid training is highly desirable.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills for managing classroom activities and documentation efficiently.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and child supervision strategies.

Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
