Teacher/caregiver

Duties

• Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote early childhood development, including preschool activities and play-based learning
• Provide attentive supervision and care for children, ensuring their safety at all times during activities, transitions, and outdoor play
• Apply child development instruction techniques to support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to share updates on children's progress, behavior, and milestones
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning while adhering to health and safety standards
• Administer first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary, following mandated reporting laws and safety protocols
• Manage classroom behavior through positive reinforcement strategies and effective behavior management techniques

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with children in daycare centers, preschools, or similar settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in first aid and CPR (Childhood First Aid) is required; additional certifications in special education or behavior management are advantageous
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
• Strong communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively
• Classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment
• Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and enthusiasm for nurturing young learners
