Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher/Assistant Teacher to join our faith based early childhood education team. In this role, you will play a vital part in fostering a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for our young learners. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help children develop essential skills in literacy, math, social-emotional growth, and physical activity. Duties

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that promote literacy, social skills, curiosity, imagination, and overall child development.
  • Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction.
  • Manage classroom routines and behavior management strategies to foster positive behavior and engagement.
  • Conduct assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods and provide tailored support as needed.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons, organize activities, and ensure consistency across classrooms.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about their child's development, milestones, and any concerns or achievements.
  • Follow mandated reporting laws to ensure the safety and welfare of all children in accordance with child welfare regulations.

Qualifications

  • Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare experience.
  • Knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and special education practices.
  • Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively.
  • Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education techniques.
  • Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred; ongoing training in child welfare is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, and team members clearly and professionally.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of individual learners and support inclusive education practices.
