Teacher/Assistant Teacher (Daycare)

Duties

• Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional development
• Implement curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards and individual needs
• Ensure the safety of all children through vigilant supervision, adherence to safety protocols, and knowledge of pediatric first aid and CPR
• Communicate regularly with parents about their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that supports child development and classroom management
• Follow mandated reporting laws by documenting incidents or concerns related to child welfare promptly and accurately
• Support children with special needs or disabilities through tailored activities and inclusive practices
• Assist with diapering, feeding, nap times, and other caregiving responsibilities as needed

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar early childhood settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision techniques
• Experience working with children with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
• Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and knowledge of mandated reporting laws are required or highly desirable
• Classroom management skills that foster positive behavior and effective learning environments
• Experience engaging in child development instruction, toddler care, infant care, or nannying is advantageous
• Strong communication skills for parent interaction and teamwork within a childcare setting

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
