Teacher

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must have a AA certificate in Early childhood Education
• 2-year experience working with preschool age children
• 25 hours of required training annually
• Fluency in two languages (English required)

SKILLS REQUIRED:

• Ability to relate to children, parents and volunteers
• Great organizational skills for lesson and classroom planning
• Demonstrated ability to be resourceful in planning and creating activities
• Capable of supervising classroom and children
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2020

GUIDELINES:

• Know and maintain DHR Minimum Standards
• Know and maintain NAEYC Standards
• Learn and maintain TEA Standards

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Work with Co teacher regarding daily schedule and weekly lesson planning.

• Develop and provide effective curriculum and instruction
• Provide a positive, non-threatening learning environment
• Consult and plan with co teacher
• Assist in management and organization of classroom/playground materials
• Assist with student enrollment, assessments and screenings
• Participate in parent/teacher conferences twice a year
• Other duties as required by management

Pay: $15.42 - $18.06 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
