Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized lesson plans tailored to students’ unique needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism, or sensory impairments.
• Utilize educational technology and instructional modifications to enhance learning experiences for diverse learners.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques.
• Foster a nurturing environment that promotes social-emotional development, literacy, math skills, physical education, and early childhood education principles.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of special education practices, including IEP planning, instructional design, and legal requirements.
• Experience working with children with disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, visual impairments, or developmental delays.
• Proficiency in learning technology tools and educational software to support instruction and student engagement.
• Excellent communication skills for effective parent collaboration and team coordination.
• Ability to manage behavior effectively for students with behavioral health needs or behavior management challenges.
• Background in curriculum development across multiple subjects such as literacy education, math, physical education, and recreational therapy.
• Demonstrated classroom experience in early childhood or preschool settings; toddler care experience is a plus.

Pay: $17.21 - $28.57 per hour
