School Age Childcare: Before and After School Teacher

Diamond Street Early Childhood Center is a medium sized nonprofit Childcare Center. We are currently seeking a before and after care teacher to work with children in grades K to 1st for the 2026-27 school year. This position is a split shift Monday to Friday, with morning and afternoon hours. An option for summer hours is also available.

Responsibilities include:

• Development and implementation of age appropriate curriculum and activities to enhance learning during out-of-school time.
• Transporting students to and from school in the Center's 9 passenger van
• Supervising a classroom of 12 school age children, keeping them engaged and safe during the hours before and after school as well as no-school days.

The right candidates will:

• Be high energy and the able to work well with others (staff, children, and parents)
• Hold a valid drivers license and have a clean driving record
• Be at least 24 years old
• Clear a full background check prior to starting
• Pass a health screening, be able to lift 30 lbs. and move freely around a typical classroom in order to safely supervise the children at all times.
• Hold a High School Diploma or GED and have 2 years of child care experience/2500 verifiable hours working with children (not related to you) through a work or volunteer arrangement including babysitting, helping with children's activities at church or camp
• or Hold an associate degree in ECE/education or similar and have 1 year of childcare experience
