Duties

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum guidelines.
• Foster a safe, welcoming classroom environment that supports children's physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Use effective classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and engagement among children.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, address concerns, and encourage family involvement in their child's learning journey.
• Conduct ongoing assessments of children's progress using standardized testing methods and child welfare best practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of children's development and classroom activities.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with young children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early intervention strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to manage classrooms effectively while fostering a positive learning environment.
• Excellent communication skills to engage with children, parents, and team members clearly and professionally.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in special education or early childhood education are preferred.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education for young learners.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations.
