Duties

• Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate curriculum plans that promote literacy, math, social skills, and overall child development.
• Foster a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and positive behavior management.
• Engage children in hands-on activities that support cognitive, emotional, and physical growth aligned with early childhood education standards.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns to ensure collaborative support.
• Maintain detailed records of classroom activities, assessments, and individualized plans for children requiring special education or early intervention services.
• Adhere to mandated reporting laws by promptly reporting any signs of child welfare concerns or abuse in accordance with legal requirements.
• Collaborate with colleagues to plan lessons, share best practices, and continuously improve classroom management strategies.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings is essential; classroom experience is highly valued.
• Knowledge of child development principles, childhood education techniques, and behavior management strategies.
• Familiarity with curriculum development, literacy education, Montessori methods, and standardized testing is preferred.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required to ensure safety during all activities.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
• Ability to follow mandated reporting laws and uphold child welfare standards diligently.
• Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is a plus.
• A genuine passion for early childhood education combined with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for teaching young learners.
