Preschool Teacher

Required:

Child Development Associate (CDA) OR Assosciate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.

Full time availability: Monday-Friday / 40 hours/week

Locations Hiring: Oakdale, Paddock Road, Prairie Lane, Underwood Hills

Experience:

- Implement educational programs and activities for children in the classroom using The Creative Curriculum and Second Step.

- Provide care and support to children, including routine care and ensuring their safety; maintaining a clean and healthy environment.

- Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment for children with special education needs.

- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions among children using the Pyramid Model framework & Second Step curriculum.

- Communicate effectively with parents and families regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.

- Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement curriculum and programming

- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.

Skills

- Possess a strong background or interest in early childhood education or a related field.

- Experience working with children and providing age-appropriate care and support.

- Knowledge of and/or willingness to learn behavior management techniques to address challenging behaviors in young children.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.

- Understanding of early childhood development principles and the ability to apply them in an educational setting.

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team to create a nurturing and engaging learning environment.

- Previous experience in a daycare or childcare setting is preferred.

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
