Infant and Toddler Lead Teacher

STAR Community School, a faith-based preschool, is seeking a caring, dependable Infant and Toddler Lead Teacher. We are looking for someone who understands early childhood development and can provide a safe, nurturing classroom where every child shines.

Responsibilities

• Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, and supporting individual sleep routines.
• Plan age-appropriate activities that support language, motor, social, and emotional development.
• Maintain a clean, organized classroom and follow health, safety, and supervision procedures.
• Prepare lesson plans aligned with Georgia Early Learning and Development Standards (GELDS).
• Communicate with families through Brightwheel and daily updates.
• Document children’s routines, progress, and concerns accurately.
• Work cooperatively with staff and participate in meetings, training, and classroom observations.
• Support the school’s faith-based mission and developmentally appropriate devotional activities.

Qualifications

• Experience working with infants and toddlers in a licensed childcare setting.
• CDA, early childhood education credential, or degree preferred.
• Understanding of infant and toddler development and positive guidance.
• Ability to meet applicable background check, training, and lead teacher qualification requirements.
• Current pediatric CPR and first aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Strong communication skills, patience, professionalism, and dependable attendance.
• Ability to safely perform daily caregiving duties and actively supervise young children.
