Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic child development.
• Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and effective classroom management strategies.
• Conduct child development assessments to tailor instruction
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, behavioral observations, and developmental milestones.
• Facilitate activities that promote social-emotional growth, fine and gross motor skills, and early childhood education principles.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety standards by maintaining first aid and CPR certifications and following childcare regulations.

Experience

• Prior classroom experience working with preschool-aged children in an early childhood education settings.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and implementing age-appropriate educational activities..
• Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and team collaboration.
• Knowledge of childhood development theories and the Montessori method approach to learning.
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom management strategies.
• Teacher Certification through the Department of Early Education and Care( DEEC), first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in early childhood education or Montessori teaching are a plus.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
