Duties

• Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans that align with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social skills
• Foster a safe, inclusive classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and positive behavior management
• Conduct child development assessments to tailor instruction and support individual learning needs
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns
• Manage classroom routines efficiently, including lesson planning, transitions, and behavior management strategies
• Incorporate special education techniques and early intervention practices to support children with diverse needs
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early intervention strategies
• Experience in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management techniques
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare is preferred
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
• Ability to implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions
• Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and literacy education methods for young learners
• Demonstrated commitment to early childhood education best practices and child safety standards
• Experience teaching physical education or tutoring young children is a plus
