What You’ll Love About This Role

Schedule:

• 40 hours/week
• Monday–Friday
• 10-month position
• Summers off

What You’ll Do

As a Preschool Teacher, you will lead your classroom with both heart and intention, creating an environment where children feel safe, supported, and excited to learn.

• Design and maintain a nurturing, engaging classroom aligned with curriculum guidelines and children’s interests
• Implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans aligned with Head Start Performance Standards
• Foster a structured, positive classroom using effective classroom management strategies
• Monitor and maintain accurate child assessments and developmental data
• Supervise daily activities, including classroom time, meals, outdoor play, and field trips
• Lead and support Assistant Teachers, Aides, and Volunteers
• Partner closely with families through home visits and parent-teacher conferences
• Encourage family engagement and support parents as their child’s first and most important teacher
• Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure a safe, healthy environment for all

What We’re Looking For

• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent coursework/experience) required
• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
• Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting
• Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills
• A genuine passion for early childhood education and whole-child development

(Relevant combinations of education and experience will be considered.)
