Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Preschool Teacher/Assistant Director to join our vibrant team. This role combines classroom teaching with leadership responsibilities, ensuring a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment for children. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for early childhood education, strong communication skills, and a passion for supporting children's growth and learning.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum that promotes literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional development
• Manage classroom activities to foster a positive learning environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies
• Support children’s development through individualized child development instruction and early intervention techniques
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and incidents
• Collaborate with team members to develop lesson plans that incorporate childhood development best practices
• Assist in supervising staff and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in a preschool or childcare setting is required
• Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development, classroom management, and behavior management techniques
• Experience with special education needs, early intervention programs, and literacy education is preferred
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws; first aid and CPR certification is essential
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children
• Classroom experience involving toddler care, preschool teaching, or private school environments is highly valued
• Background in teaching physical education or tutoring young children in math or other subjects is a plus

Requirements

1. Must have 64 credit hours in college credit on an official transcript; 21 credit hours must be in Early Childhood Education.

2. Must be able to obtain a physical and all trainings needed for employment before the first day at work

3. Must be able to lift children to 30-35 ilbs and see and hear children for active supervision policies.

5. Must be able to work any hours between 6:30 am and 5:30 pm Monday-Friday (not exceeding an 8-hour shift).

Pay: $19.25 - $22.50 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 per week
