Preschool Teacher Assistant

We are seeking a Infant/Toddler Teacher Assistant to join our team! We have full time, and part time shifts available. Flexible when it comes to scheduling.

This individual will plan and present age appropriate activities for children.

Responsibilities:

• Instruct Toddler aged children in activities designed to promote intellectual and creative growth
• Create a fun and safe learning environment
• Develop schedules and routines to ensure adequate physical activity, rest, and playtime
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students and parents
• Communicate with parents on students' growth and progress
• Maintain the health and safety of all students

Other job duties include, but are not limited to, diapering, feeding, cleaning, reading, singing, and crafting. Child care experience is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in childcare, teaching, or other related fields preferred but not required.
• Passionate about working with children
• Ability to build rapport with children
• Positive and patient demeanor
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Physically and mentally able to preform job duties
• Must be able to pass background check

Required Education: High School Diploma, College Education is a plus. Must be willing to learn OCFS regulations and take required trainings per NYS regulations.

• Salary: Starting at $16.00 per hour; increases depend on experience and education.
