Preschool Lead Teacher

Responsibilities

• Design and implement developmentally appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles, literacy education, math, physical education, and child welfare practices.
• Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and effective classroom management strategies.
• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to the unique needs of children at various stages of early childhood development, including toddlers and preschoolers.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss behavioral concerns, and foster strong partnerships supporting each child's growth.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation related to child welfare and developmental milestones.
• Incorporate early intervention strategies and special education techniques to support children with diverse learning needs.
• Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods when appropriate to monitor progress and inform instruction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings, demonstrating strong classroom experience in early childhood education.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management best practices.
• Familiarity with curriculum development, lesson planning, and teaching physical education or literacy education for young children.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in special education or early intervention are a plus.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and ensure child safety at all times.
• Prior experience in private schools or daycare environments is advantageous; familiarity with standardized testing is beneficial as well.
