Preschool Lead Teacher

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children, fostering their social, emotional, and cognitive development. As a lead educator, you will oversee classroom activities, implement developmentally appropriate curricula, and communicate effectively with parents to support each child's growth.

Duties

• Plan and deliver age-appropriate lessons that promote early childhood development and learning through play-based activities.
• Manage daily classroom operations, ensuring a safe, organized, and stimulating environment for young children.
• Implement classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and social skills among students.
• Maintain open and ongoing communication with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation related to child welfare and safety.
• Administer first aid and CPR when necessary, adhering to safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all children.
• Support children's emotional well-being by providing a caring and responsive environment that encourages curiosity and independence.
• Collaborate with staff to develop instructional strategies aligned with childhood development principles and best practices in preschool teaching.

Experience

• Prior experience in early childhood education or preschool teaching is required.
• Demonstrated experience working with young children in childcare or educational settings.
• Knowledge of childhood development theories and practices is essential.
• Experience in classroom management and implementing curriculum plans tailored for preschool-aged children.
• Familiarity with child development instruction techniques to support individual learning needs.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is preferred or must be obtained prior to employment.
• Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare is necessary for compliance purposes.

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
