Job Summary

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement creative, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and curriculum development best practices.
• Manage daily classroom activities to promote active learning, social interaction, and emotional well-being among children.
• Foster a safe, inclusive environment by applying effective behavior management and classroom management techniques.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss developmental milestones, and address any concerns or questions.
• Support children’s physical development through experience teaching physical education activities tailored for young learners.
• Incorporate literacy education strategies to enhance early reading and writing skills, including phonemic awareness and vocabulary building.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies while maintaining accurate documentation of student progress and incidents.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings, including preschool or toddler care environments.
• Strong knowledge of childhood development instruction, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
• Experience developing curricula that include literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Familiarity with special education principles, early intervention strategies, and standardized testing methods relevant to preschool-aged children.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Valid first aid and CPR certification; ongoing commitment to health and safety standards in childcare settings.
• Demonstrated ability to plan engaging lessons that support child welfare and promote positive behavior.
• Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child abuse prevention and intervention.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
