Preschool Lead Teacher

Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and energetic Preschool Lead Teacher to inspire young learners and foster a nurturing, engaging classroom environment. Duties

• Develop and execute creative, age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood development, literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional skills
• Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for toddlers and preschoolers
• Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children’s progress, milestones, and any concerns to foster strong home-school partnerships
• Implement child welfare policies in compliance with mandated reporting laws and health & safety standards, including first aid and CPR procedures
• Assess individual child development through observations and standardized testing to tailor instruction and support early intervention when needed

Requirements

• Proven experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting; prior classroom experience is preferred, but not required
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, and early intervention strategies
• Familiarity with special education needs and behavior management techniques for diverse learners
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners
• Certification in first aid and CPR; knowledge of mandated reporting laws is required (Applicants will have 90 days after their first day to complete)
• Experience working with toddlers as well as preschool-aged children is preferred
• Demonstrated classroom management skills to maintain an organized, respectful learning environment
• Must be able to pass a background check

Pay: From $10.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
