Responsibilities

• Develop and execute engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
• Create a warm, inclusive classroom environment that supports toddler care, preschool teaching, and special education needs.
• Manage daily classroom activities, ensuring smooth transitions and effective behavior management strategies to foster positive conduct.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns through meetings or written updates.
• Implement child development instruction techniques tailored to individual needs, including early intervention strategies when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate documentation of student progress and incident reports.
• Lead classroom management efforts by organizing materials, maintaining safety protocols such as first aid and CPR readiness, and promoting a respectful learning atmosphere.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with children in early childhood education settings, including preschool or daycare environments.
• Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
• Knowledge of child welfare practices, childhood development principles, and behavior management techniques.
• Familiarity with special education procedures, early intervention programs, and standardized testing methods.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with parents, colleagues, and community partners.
• Certification in first aid and CPR; additional credentials in childhood development or early childhood education preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse student populations including toddlers and children with special needs; experience teaching physical education or literacy education is a plus.
