Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, and social-emotional learning.
• Support classroom management by supervising children during activities, transitions, and outdoor play to ensure safety and positive behavior.
• Engage children in educational activities that promote developmentally appropriate skills in communication, problem-solving, and creativity.
• Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that adheres to educational compliance and safety regulations.
• Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and daily experiences, fostering strong home-school connections.
• Utilize educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences for students with diverse needs.
• Collaborate closely with teachers on behavior management strategies and individualized support plans for children with disabilities or autism.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working with young children in classroom or childcare settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, special education practices, and behavior management techniques.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and team members.
• Ability to supervise children safely while demonstrating patience and nurturing care.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is a plus.
• Proficiency in using computers and educational technologies to support classroom activities.
• Valid first aid and CPR certification to ensure safety during emergencies.
• Must be willing to obtain State required certifications.
• Must be able to pass a local and level II background check.
