Preschool Assistant Teacher

Maple Tree Academy is seeking a dedicated and energetic teacher to work in our school. Maple Tree Academy is a beautiful Montessori school well known in the community for academic excellence and high quality care. Maple Tree offers a variety of programs for children 6 weeks to 6 years old. Responsibilities

• Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem
• Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times
• Track children’s progress and report to parents
• Communicate with parents regularly to understand the children’s background and psyche
• Collaborate with other educators
• Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards

Skills

• Excellent understanding of the principles of child development
• Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
• Excellent communication and instructional skills

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
