Summary

As a Pre-K Teacher for 4–5 Year Olds, you will play a key role in preparing children for kindergarten by building academic, social, and emotional foundations. Reporting directly to the School Director, your expertise in early childhood education and classroom management will guide preschoolers through hands-on learning experiences. Your creativity, patience, and enthusiasm will foster a love of learning while ensuring children feel safe, supported, and engaged every day.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans aligned with Pre-K curriculum goals.
• Prepare children for kindergarten readiness in early literacy, math, science, and social-emotional skills.
• Create a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, independence, and teamwork.
• Foster strong communication with parents about children’s growth, achievements, and needs.
• Monitor and support children’s social, emotional, and cognitive development through structured and play-based activities.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curriculum, share best practices, and support a thriving school community.

Qualifications

• Experience working with preschool-aged children (4–5 years old)
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to create and implement engaging, educational activities
• Knowledge of early childhood development and kindergarten readiness standards
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with positive behavior management techniques
