Job Overview

Duties

  • Develop and implement comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to preschool-aged children, emphasizing literacy education, math skills, and physical development.
  • Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and classroom management strategies.
  • Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and adapt instruction to meet individual needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
  • Engage children in age-appropriate activities that support social-emotional growth, motor skills, and cognitive development through play-based learning.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to foster strong home-school connections.
  • Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and lesson plans.
  • Administer standardized testing when appropriate to evaluate learning outcomes and inform instructional strategies.
  • Maintain current certifications such as first aid and CPR to ensure a safe environment for all children.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning and classroom activities to enhance the overall educational experience.

Experience

  • Prior experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting is essential; familiarity with toddler care is highly valued.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles, early childhood education best practices, and classroom management techniques.
  • Experience developing curriculum that integrates literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and social-emotional learning.
  • Background in special education or early intervention programs is advantageous for supporting diverse learner needs.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and community partners while maintaining professionalism and sensitivity.
  • Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety regulations in early childhood settings.
  • Experience working in private schools or daycare environments enhances adaptability to various educational contexts.

Qualification: Must have BA/MA in Education or related field
