Duties

• Assist lead teachers in implementing engaging lesson plans aligned with preschool curriculum standards, including literacy, math, and social skills development.
• Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping to maintain a structured, safe learning environment.
• Provide attentive childcare, ensuring the well-being of children through supervision during activities, transitions, and rest periods.
• Help facilitate classroom activities that promote childhood development, including Montessori or other educational approaches tailored to preschoolers’ needs.
• Collaborate with teachers to prepare educational materials and set up learning stations that stimulate curiosity and exploration.
• Support individualized attention for children with special needs or disabilities, ensuring inclusive participation in all activities.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to foster a supportive community focused on early childhood growth and learning.

Experience

• Previous experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood curriculum development.
• Experience assisting with classroom management strategies and behavior management techniques.
• Familiarity with special education practices and working with children with disabilities or behavioral challenges is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and team members.
• Technical proficiency in educational tools or classroom technology used in preschool settings is advantageous.
• Prior experience in private schools or Montessori environments can be beneficial but is not required; enthusiasm for early childhood teaching is essential.

Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
