Pre-K Assistant Teacher

About Us: Adventure Alley Learning Center is dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. Our goal is to inspire a love for learning through play-based activities and hands-on experiences. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Pre-K Assistant Teacher to join our team.

Job Summary: As a Pre-K Assistant Teacher, you will support the Lead Teacher in creating a positive and engaging classroom environment for children aged 4-5 years. You will assist in implementing the curriculum, facilitating learning activities, and ensuring the safety and well-being of all students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily lessons and activities.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages exploration and creativity.
• Support children in their social, emotional, and cognitive development.
• Supervise and engage with children during playtime, group activities, and transitions.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff.
• Help with classroom management and behavior guidance.
• Assist in preparing materials and supplies for lessons.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Current Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or TCC certification.
• Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with children.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
