Part-Time Assistant Teacher

We're looking for a caring, energetic, and dependable Part-Time Assistant Teacher to join our team!

In this role, you'll help create a safe, engaging, and active learning environment for young children. Responsibilities include supporting classroom activities, supervising children indoors and outdoors, assisting with transitions, and helping maintain a positive classroom environment.

Position Requirements:

· Enjoy working with young children in an active setting.

· Brings energy and enthusiasm to the classroom and enjoys participating with children in music and movement, morning worship, games, and active learning activities.

· Able to actively supervise children throughout the day

· Capable of moving quickly when necessary to ensure children's safety

· Able to participate in indoor and outdoor activities, including walking, standing, bending, and playground supervision

· Strong communication and teamwork skills

· Reliable and dependable

Physical Requirements: This position requires the ability to actively engage with and supervise young children, including outdoor play, standing for extended periods, bending, lifting classroom materials, and responding quickly to children's needs and safety concerns.

Requirements:

· Able to pass fingerprinting, background checks, TB and health screenings.

· Can lift up to 50 pounds.

• Part-time schedule (Must have availability between 7:30am and 4:00pm EST)

This schedule is Monday- Friday with the preschool.

Additional hours may be available from time to time based on staffing needs, special events, program requirements, and with State Street United Methodist Church on Sunday 8am-12pm, Tuesday 3pm-5pm, and Thursday 6pm-8pm.

Are Required, but we have a class coming up (no worries) CPR/AED

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 22.0 – 32.0 per week
