Overview
We are looking for a dependable, caring part-time teacher/closer to join our daycare team!

Hours are Monday–Friday, 2:30–5:30 PM. Duties include helping with school-age children, helping with toddler age children, supervising afternoon activities, managing end-of-day operations, coordinating employee schedules and closing tasks, maintaining proper classroom ratios, light cleaning, and helping children safely go home at pickup. In this role you will take responsibility for closing the center in the evening, ensuring a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment for children and staff alike. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers, while developing your skills in childcare, classroom management, and behavior guidance.

Responsibilities

• Lead engaging and developmentally appropriate activities for children in preschool and toddler age groups.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Assist with daily routines
• Communicate effectively with parents and team members to provide updates on children's progress and needs.

Requirements

• Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, or babysitting is preferred.
• Must be 21 or older
• Leadership and communication skills
• Reliable, positive, and able to work independently
• Comfortable managing staff, ratios, and closing responsibilities
• Certifications in first aid and CPR are a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not already held.
• Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavioral challenges positively.
• Ability to work evening shifts for closing responsibilities.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.50 per hour
