Duties

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards and individual student needs
• Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes social-emotional development and respectful behavior management
• Support children's growth through age-appropriate activities focused on literacy, math, physical education, and overall childhood development
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding student progress, behavior, and classroom activities
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and developmental milestones
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance classroom strategies and share best practices in early childhood education

Skills

• Strong experience in curriculum development tailored for young children
• Proven experience working with children in preschool or early intervention settings
• Knowledge of special education strategies and behavior management techniques
• Expertise in classroom management and child development instruction
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, students, and team members
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, first aid, and CPR certifications
• Ability to plan lessons that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and childhood development principles
• Experience teaching physical education or implementing standardized testing in early childhood settings
• Demonstrated understanding of child welfare policies and preschool teaching best practices
• Previous private school or preschool experience is a plus
