Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate, patient, and flexible preschool-qualified teacher to join our early childhood education center on a part-time basis, working a specific two- to three-hour, late-afternoon shift. In this vital role, your expertise will help create a positive learning space where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to explore and grow. Duties

• Lead classroom activities that promote child development in areas such as cognitive skills, motor skills, behavior management, and social interaction.
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment by managing classroom behavior and maintaining effective classroom management strategies.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development.
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting incidents or concerns related to child safety or welfare.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum enhancements and participate in ongoing professional development focused on early intervention, special education, and childhood development techniques.
• Maintain accurate records of children's progress through assessments and standardized testing when applicable; adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

• Required: Preschool CDA (preferred) or 90-hour preschool certification.
• Proven experience working with children in early childhood settings such as daycare centers, preschools, or private schools.
• Strong knowledge of child development instruction, curriculum development, and classroom management best practices.
• Experience with special education strategies and early intervention programs is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members using excellent communication skills.
• Certification in first aid and CPR is required.
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and child welfare policies to ensure compliance at all times.
• Knowledge of preschool teaching methods, toddler care practices, etc.

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 15.0 per week
