Part-Time Position

BITS Preparatory Academy is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, dependable, and highly organized VPK Teacher to join our growing team!

We are looking for an educator who is passionate about kindergarten readiness, understands the importance of early childhood education, and can independently maintain a structured, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of early childhood teaching experience preferred, particularly in VPK or Pre-K.
• Must meet Florida's VPK lead instructor credential and training requirements.
• Strong familiarity with CLASS (Classroom Assessment Scoring System) and its application in daily instruction.
• Exceptional classroom management and positive behavior guidance skills.
• Knowledge of Florida VPK Education Standards and kindergarten readiness expectations.
• Experience with Renaissance Star Early Literacy assessments and VPK progress monitoring preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Experience supporting students with diverse developmental, behavioral, and learning needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with Florida VPK standards.
• Maintain a positive, structured classroom with consistent routines and expectations.
• Incorporate CLASS strategies throughout daily instruction and interactions.
• Administer required VPK assessments, monitor student progress, and maintain accurate records.
• Complete lesson plans, documentation, and assigned tasks accurately and within established deadlines.
• Maintain an organized, clean, safe, and welcoming classroom.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with families and administration.
• Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Consistently follow school policies, licensing requirements, and VPK program expectations.
