Responsibilities

• Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development of one-year-old children
• Provide attentive supervision to ensure the safety and well-being of each child at all times
• Foster positive interactions with children to encourage exploration, independence, and confidence
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding their child's progress, milestones, and daily experiences
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that supports early childhood learning standards
• Follow all mandated reporting laws and health guidelines, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures
• Collaborate with team members to develop individualized care plans for children with special needs or disabilities

Skills

• Proven experience working with infants and toddlers in a daycare or preschool setting
• Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
• Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid training
• Experience with classroom management and behavior management techniques suitable for young children
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents, team members, and children in a warm, professional manner
• Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child welfare and safety
• Demonstrated skills in child supervision, activity planning, and classroom organization
• Compassionate approach to working with children who may have special needs or disabilities
• Knowledge of early childhood education curriculum standards and childcare regulations

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
