Now Hiring: Childcare Teacher

We Care Daycare LLC is seeking a caring, dependable, and experienced Childcare Teacher to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone who has a passion for early childhood education, understands the daily operations of a licensed childcare center, and is committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment while maintaining compliance with South Carolina childcare regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for children.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and daily activities that support children's growth and development.
• Follow the center's curriculum and classroom schedule.
• Maintain accurate classroom documentation, attendance records, and daily reports.
• Ensure all classroom records remain current and comply with South Carolina DSS, SC Endeavors, and ABC Quality standards.
• Supervise children at all times while maintaining proper staff-to-child ratios.
• Promote positive behavior using appropriate guidance and redirection techniques.
• Communicate professionally with parents regarding their child's daily activities, progress, and development.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and classroom that meets licensing and health standards.
• Assist with meal service, diapering, toileting, handwashing, nap time, playground supervision, and classroom transitions.
• Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development.
• Follow all center policies, health and safety procedures, emergency protocols, and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center required.
• Knowledge of South Carolina DSS Child Care Licensing Regulations, SC Endeavors, and ABC Qualitystandards.
• Understanding of child development and developmentally appropriate practices.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, patient, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Must meet all South Carolina childcare employment requirements, including background checks and required trainings.
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).

Preferred

• Experience with infants, toddlers, preschool, or Pre-K classrooms.
• Experience implementing curriculum and conducting developmental observations.
• Familiarity with daily childcare center operations, classroom protocols, and licensing compliance.
• Ability to create a fun, engaging, and positive learning environment while maintaining structure and routines.
